Thom Browne Minimalism

"When people have too many choices, they make bad choices." - Thom Browne

Thom Brown is known for his signature tricolor stripe, button-down oxford shirts, cardigan sweaters, seersucker shorts, bow ties and thick-soled brogues. His palette is notably gray and what some might deem monotone or uniform. However, Browne's aesthetic is one that is simple and clean and is inspired by the 1950's-1960's.

He has remarked that his father was an attorney who never thought about clothing, but always looked good. His childhood influences much of his design. Growing up mid-century in Allentown, Pennsylvania Browne played sports. Many of his designs reflect this upbringing and have a classic, American sentiment as well as sports references to include letterman jackets and sports emblems.
